Surprise! Hidden Beach South Florida

Want to know a secret? It is a state park and the beach in South Florida, nobody seems to know.

Beautiful surroundings, a nice splash of sunshine beach ... only you only to themselves.

Where is this park and secluded beach in Florida? It 'easy to get real!

Introduction ...

... John D. MacArthur Beach State Park is a little known jewel of the north and south of Iceland Singer JupiterBeach> Atlantic Ocean.

This Florida State Park is absolutely amazing on a tropical Dune Trail and a beautiful beach. Urban sprawl and so here you reach the beach and the park is quiet most of the year. They could not even see one another!

The park is rich past

The beach has some interesting history, from when it was called Beach Air Force during World War II. What is now Palm Beach InternationalThe airport was an Air Force Base at the time. Apparently the soldiers threw some pretty wild parties beach was (unofficially) named Air Force Beach!

Some time later, John D. MacArthur bought land, they want to maintain the pristine part of southern Florida safe. He had the country in the 1970s and park (named after him) opened in 1989.

Barrier? What barrier?

MacArthur Beach State Park is located on a barrier islandlong and narrow, which separates the mainland from the sea. Although condominiums and hotels have taken over many of the beautiful barrier islands is Florida, not this - is still "au natural"!

Be looking for ...

... Sea Turtles! Rare species of sea turtles nest here, including the endangered loggerhead and lute much less known. Probably not see the turtles, but could suggest that they were about to see. If you really wantto see the turtles, there are ranger guided hikes in May and June. Book in advance through the office - these tours are very popular.

You could see some pink spatulas in the park. Huh? pink spoonbills are fascinating birds, feathers are pink ("Pink Flamingo") and the end of their bills are shaped spoon.

Bird-watchers are occasionally available for inclined birds.

Stranding It!

The amazing thing about thisglorious Florida State Park is that very few people come here. Perhaps because there are pressures on public beaches in the north and south, MacArthur Beach State Park is only silence. Serene. And you are probably not the miles of sandy beach two at all!

Waters to swim, snorkel the reef or even try one of the clinics parking Surfing - The beach has all kinds of possibilities!
